Each Province, Territory or State has its own distinctive and colorful license plate required to operate a commerical vehicle in Intra-province or intra-state activities. Carriers wants to oprate in Interstate commerce have to apply for IRP Plates.

The International Registration Plan ( IRP ) is an agreement between certain Canadian provinces and U.S. states that distributes commercial vehicle registration fees based on the total distance travelled in each place

Trailer Plates are required on all the commercial trailers as required by the Provincial/state Laws.
